The Malibu Creek Docents are a 40+ year old independent non-profit organization that partners with California State Parks, dedicated to educational and interpretive activities designed to help the public appreciate the natural history, environment, and recreational opportunities of Malibu Creek State Park. They operate a highly-visited public-facing informational website about the Park, with in-depth content on the natural and human history of the park. We just launched a redesign of malibucreekstatepark.org with a brand refresh inspired by the natural and human-made color palette of the park. Along with the public-facing site, we also built an all-new volunteer portal with robust tools to manage internal resources such as calendars, volunteer sign-ups, and more.
“I am very grateful to Tanager for redesigning and transforming our internal and external website into a user-friendly and visually stunning website that seamlessly links with our working tools to manage our volunteers and provide information about the park and the activities that we offer to visitors at Malibu Creek State Park. Working with Greg was a great experience from start to finish. He began by understanding our needs and how we work to help clearly define the end goal and kept the entire process simple, focused, and effective. It was very evident that there is a depth of experience available, as he had well thought out pragmatic solutions to the many design challenges we faced. I was especially impressed by how Greg was able to deliver a seamless launch of our new website while planning for long-term maintenance and future updates. The result is a website that looks great, works beautifully, and is built to grow and evolve with our needs. We have received very positive feedback from our visitors, and our volunteers, as they find it visually attractive, and very intuitive and easy to navigate.”
