We carefully consider the impacts of every new client, project, and collaboration we undertake. We believe that long-lasting, positive impact on the world is a better measure for success than profitability or other financial metrics.
We also encourage our clients to consider impact over profit, and look for ways to bolster a project’s social impact.
We offer discounts to non-profit organizations, b-corps, and social enterprises.

At Tanager, we build nature into the DNA of the company. We lead cleanup efforts in our area, volunteer with local environmental organizations to lead programs, restore trails, and more. We make nature walks a regular part of our workweek to combat stress and promote creativity and health. To share our passion for nature with others, we host free weekly nature walks, and also offer more in-depth guided nature walks to companies and organizations interested in providing a healthy, engaging, and adventurous benefit to their teams.

Give back 2% of our profits
It’s important to be a good neighbor, and to use your successes to make others more successful.
Tanager donates 2% of all profits to local environmental, nature, and community organizations, as well as national social justice funds.
We hold donation matching events for important causes. In 2020, we matched over $1,000 in donations in support of Black Lives Matter and racial justice movements.
Be inclusive and create inclusivity
We strive to be inclusive in our collaborations with clients and partners, and within our company. We pledge to speak up whenever we see exclusionary practices. We hope for a diversity of perspective, thought, and approach.
We stand in solidarity with Black Lives. We regularly donate to racial justice causes, and educate ourselves on how to best support these critical movements and be anti-racist.

Greg Nemes, Founder and Director
Greg founded Tanager from a lifelong passion for nature and a desire to work with the amazing people who protect and improve our world.
Tanager is directed by Greg, building a customized team of designers, technologists, and project managers for each project.
